Why self-hosted matters
Your data stays yours
Email, notes, and conversations are not sold or shared.
Dedicated instance
Not commingled with other customers' business data.
Open-source core
Built on Hermes - inspectable, portable foundation.
Managed setup
We configure and host your instance during onboarding.
Self-hosted vs cloud assistants
| Raegan (self-hosted) | Typical cloud assistant | |
|---|---|---|
| Data location | Your server | Vendor cloud |
| Training on your data | Your instance only | Often pooled policies |
| Cross-channel | 20+ messaging apps | Usually one app |
| Owner-focused | Inbox, briefing, execution | General chat |
How setup and hosting works
Self-hosted by design, managed for owners - you get a private instance without becoming a sysadmin.
1. Onboarding call
We learn your stack and connect Gmail, Calendar, and the channels you use.
2. We provision
Your dedicated Raegan instance is deployed and configured - not a shared pool.
3. We host and maintain
Updates, uptime, and backups are handled for you during early access.
4. You stay in control
Your data lives on your instance; export or delete it any time.
Do I need to self-host Raegan myself?
Raegan runs on your private server, but we handle setup and hosting for you. Self-hosted by design, managed for owners.
What is Hermes?
Hermes is the open-source autonomous agent from Nous Research. Raegan is Hermes configured for business owners with email, calendar, and notes connected.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Contact hello@raegan.ai for export or deletion requests.
Is self-hosted secure?
Your instance is dedicated to you. We use standard administrative and technical measures appropriate to business data.
Where does my data actually live?
On your dedicated Raegan instance, not a shared cloud pool. We manage hosting during early access; you can export or delete your data on request.
